Sometimese it boils water for more than 2 minutes before auto shut off functions engages. It could lead to fires.

Is not pussible to use - Heavy stink of plastic. Tryed to remove this washing and washing no resolt. Stay away of this product!

Bought this Kettle because my Krups kettle broke. I was a little disapointed at first because it is true that it is hard to see the waterline when you fill the kettle, I did not like the handle so much but I got used to it and it boils my water quickly , that's the most important part ,it looks cool ,I really like it now .

Love, love this hot water kettle. This is my second one and only bought another to change colors in my kitchen. Fast heating,is attractive on my counter, but stores easily too. It is a simple to use product. I don't need a lot of bells and whistles. The price is good compared to other kettles. Would like to have a 3 prong plug on it however.

I have had my Bodum pot for 4 or 5 years and use it every day. For the past year, I have noticed black granules or flakes in my hot water. The pot I have is white but the heating area inside on the bottom is black. This bothers me, especially after reading about the dangers of heating in plastic. Although the pot heats fine, does not leak, I am replacing it with one with a stainless steel interior.
