Available also in small and large sizes, this medium-size scoop picks up approximately 1-1/2 tablespoons of dough, which yields a cookie 2-3/4 inches in diameter. While the handles are spread a bit wide for small hands to manage easily, the soft grips do add comfort when squeezing to release the dough. sturdy, dish washer safe ,makes perfect size cookies or for whoopie pies, creats a uniform size. wish i had purchased sooner, also has multi purpose, and stiil an ice cream scoop too!!!

and use these for silver dollar pancakes ! They come out perfectly sized and round.

The little ones just love them. I give a puddle of syrup for dipping and it's so much easier for them to manage.

If you make cookies fairly often (say once a week or more), this handy little gadget is definitely worth the price.

I resisted getting a cookie scoop forever. "A tablespoon was good enough for Mom and Grandma...it's good enough for me!" What a fool I was. In a nutshell, the OXO good grips cookie scoop:

-Makes uniform cookies that look great and bake evenly.
-Is MUCH faster and easier than using a tablespoon.
-Has smooth action and releases the dough easily, unlike cheaper scoops.

If you're on the fence about whether it's worth it to purchase something that "could be done with a tablespoon," wonder no more. Anyone who bakes cookies regularly will be happy they purchased the Oxo scoop.
