In this countertop dual surface grill, former heavyweight George Foreman keeps up his fight against fat in grilled food. Sized for six burgers or four salmon steaks at a time, the grill drains excess fat away from cooking food for lean, healthful, tasty results. With over 84 square inches of nonstick cooking surface on top and bottom, the grill has a sloped design for easy drainage and upper and lower plates so food grills faster. Both plates feature embedded heating elements and the Foreman line's patented grooves so fat doesn't pool. They work well with steaks, chicken breasts, breakfast sausage, shrimp, fish filets, and vegetables. A floating hinge accommodates thicker cuts of meat, ensuring that attractive grill marks enhance the look and flavor of foods. Encased in dark red housing, the grill is streamlined and sturdy. As with other Foreman grills, the plates do not remove for cleaning, but are easily wiped down with a wet sponge. The grill came with NO instructions. Had to figure it out myself. Very pleased with grilling, but it would have been a safer product if it had a shutoff swiotch, preferably auto shutoff. It is not easy to clean, ecause the plates do not come off, and I presume it would be wrong to immerse it (no instructions again). It is perfect size for my wife and I, but I don't see how one could use it for a whole family. For example, The maximum number of burgers or pork chops that can be cooked at one time is two.

There are too many great things to say about this little device: It's affordable to anybody, even if you are a student stuck living at school. It's compact, you can store it anywhere--a closet, your car, your office, the kitchen cabinet. It's powerful--I have plugged it in and in just minutes began working on an entire three course meal for six people with only this unit to work with. It's easy to clean--this is one of the few products out there that is every bit as easy to clean as the commercials show it to be on TV. It's is economical, using very little electricity to do a just that would waste electricity in a conventional oven or even an older model microwave oven. It's versatile--I have cooked everything from thin pieces of tempeh strips to thick steaks and it cooks both to perfection. You never would have been able to convince me to buy anything on TV before (and most certainly not from a former boxing champion...) but since a friend both this grill for me I have thanked them time and again (and in turn bought the same gift for many a friend of my own).
