I'm quite pleased with my Mr. Bento. There was a slight learning curve, but now Mr. Bento is an indispensable part of my box-lunch routine. Oh, and the spork is indeed mighty.

This large lunch jar is wonderful for big lunches. I like how you have four compartments for food so that you can separate ie. rice from sauce. We absolutely love it, the reason for not giving full five stars is that you cannot wash any of the parts in the dishwasher.

Fantastic lunch container. Only area where I see that it's lacking is that the top two containers won't seal in liquid, so on day one when I came to work with a small bit of cereal and some milk on the top two levels for breakfast and pasta and a soup in the bottom for lunch, I opened it up to find the milk all over everything, despite having closed everything securely. However, knowing now what it's capable of, I couldn't imagine toting my lunch to work any other way. As far as capacity goes, I'm the kind of guy that needs a footlong sub and a bowl of soup to fill up, and I still finish my Mr. Bento lunches with a swollen belly.

Also, as far as insulation goes, I haven't tried bringing in a hot lunch, I usually prep everything the night before and toss it in the fridge, but after about four hours of sitting under my desk, my lunch comes out about as cold as when I left home. I'd imagine it could cope with hot items just as well. (only bottom two containers retain their temperature though, the top two serve as extra insulation for the lower levels.)

Highly recommended.

The Zojirushi Mr. Bento is a great way to take your lunch to work everyday. I found myself eating out more and aside from the money, I was also wasting my health. This allowed me to take my lunch to work in a clean, efficient way. The soup container stays sealed tight and the soup is hot. I can take several little courses so it makes lunch more fun. It's relatively easy to clean as well. I highly recommend it.

I purchased this item because we do not have a microwave or fridge at work, and this fit the bill perfectly. There is so much room in it that I can pack breakfast and lunch in it or lunch for two. I have also used it to send a warm breakfast and lunch to pre-school with my 3 year old during the cold months. He loves having a warm meal while everyone else has a cold sandwich...again.
