I have a tiny apartment. My cat and I are both long hair creatures. And it's amazing to see the amount of hair this thing can get together. Strongly recommended for pets owners and long hair women =)

B & D CHV1400 Dust Buster - Don't do it. April 28, 2008
The B & D Dust Buster CHV1400 Type 1 has a really good suction, for about 15 minutes. My battery is about 2 years old and really showing by only holding a charge for 5 minutes. To change the battery, remove 2 long screws, press 2 tabs (hard to do), remove 2 small screws, then 5 longer screws. Then twist and pry. The 4 tabs on the battery pack were the easiest to bend. Battery consist of 10 each 'C' cells welded tab, end to end. Not an easy task. Thus the poor design. Battery pack (if you can find one) is very expensive. It is one of those things they wish you would recycle but you cannot without a great deal of effort. Thus it is probably never done. The ad stating that you should recycle (which is a good idea) but very hard to do. That ad would lead you to believe that the battery pack is easy to change. It isn't. Poor design. B & D needs to make a better design with easy to change battery pack. Then there is the problem with what to do with all that perfectly good plastic. If the battery pack were easy to change, it could be reused. Lets get real B & D.

Worth its Weight in GOLD April 26, 2008
Why didn't I get one of these before? I will never use a rag or a broom again. This very light and easy to use vac does the job of my big vacuum with less effort. I pick up pet hair, human hair, bread crumbs, cereal, rice, sugar, four, nuts, ripped paper, sand, flower petals.....

I swear by it. It charges up quickly and the suction is outstanding for the price. The size is perfect for the kitchen or bathroom. Oh, I also use it my car. I recommend this model and find it very, very useful for everyday cleanups. Did I mention it picks up hair? LOVE IT!

Mini Power House April 24, 2008
This little hand held cordless vacuum cleaner does a great job in picking up household messes -- the automobile too. It's light, easy to move around while keeping its charge for a reletively long time -- long enough to complete most jobs. I like it and recommend without qualification.

Excellent Product April 23, 2008
I've owned Dustbusters for years, and this one is by far the best. It can't replace a good upright vac, but it's all you can ask for for everyday touch ups.
