The German company WMF works with top European designers to create kitchen products that innovatively marry style with function. German duo Guido Metz and Michael Kindler designed this irresistible coffee canister for the company's Kult collection. With just the thinnest of lids, the beautifully proportioned cylinder is made of high quality 18/10 stainless steel in a luxurious satin finish. Peeking out between lid and body is the edge of a plastic seal that rings the inside of the lid to keep contents fresh. On the side of the canister, a slot holds the included long-handled stainless-steel coffee measuring spoon. The tiny WMF logo is relatively unobtrusive.

While fingerprints and smudges can show up now and then on stainless steel, a good wipe with a soft cloth should clean them off. Measuring 6 by 4-1/4 inches and holding more than a pound of ground coffee or six cups of sugar, the canister makes a `wow' gift for the modern home. --Ann Bieri

The cutest investment I've made this holiday season January 10, 2007
When I first received the WMF Kult Coffee Canister I thought that it was quite expensive for such a small object. But, after using it for a few weeks I've noticed the benefits of keeping the coffee in a canister that really keeps the ground coffee colder than other comparable containers. The stainless steel really conducts the cold temperature and keeps the coffee fresher, longer. I would highly recommend it for any coffee enthusiast.

For the price, I expected a quality canister. The plastic insert in the lid arrived unglued, and hardly creates an airtight seal. Had I seen this item in a store I would have passed on it immediately.

The stainless steel lid has a glued in plastic piece that is supposed to provide an airtight seal to the canister. My canister arrived with the plastic piece no longer glued in place. I expected a bit more from a $50 coffee canister. I'm returning it and going in search of a quality canister.
