Sure it's fast, but it's hot, really hot. Once charged you have to let the batteries cool off for a good 10 minutes. So how fast is fast if you can't use your charged batteries right away !!
And then there is the shelf life issue...after 8 months of using and recharging my Rayovac I-C3 batteries, using the RadioShack 15 minute i-c3 charger, my batteries don't hold their charge for very long, not even for a month (forget about storing these batteries for emergency use) and they seem not to last as long as before.
I have moved to using eneloop NiMH batteries and the La Crosse charger, hoping this will be a better solution.

I FOUND THE RAYOVAC I-C3 15 MINUTE NIMH BATTERY CHARGER IS THE BEST CHARGER OF ALL THE CHARGERS THAT I OWE. THE RAYOVAC 1-C3 15 MINUTE CHARGER IS VERY FAST IN CGARGING NIMH AA BATTERY.
WITH THE I-C3 CHARGER, I THINK I AM GOING TO GIVE AWAY ALL MY OTHER BRANDS OF CHARGERS. IT IS A VERY GOOD INVESTMENT FOR MY MONEY.
