Part of Le Creuset's Garden Collection, the pieces are a great way to serve soup portions, individual entrées, or dips on the buffet. Crafted from durable stoneware with sculptural shaping, they distribute and retain heat beautifully, and their handsome, nonporous enamel surface makes for easy serving and washing. Heavy-duty for years of use, the casseroles are impervious to lingering odors and do not stain, chip, or craze with normal wear.

One of the reasons Le Creuset stoneware is so popular is that it simplifies the steps from prep to cleanup. Use these dishes to marinate in the fridge, warm in the microwave, bake in the oven, and store in the freezer--everything but cook on the stovetop. While the pepper shaped "petites" are slightly larger than the fruit shapes, 13 ounces is very optimistic. If you fill it to the brim and then never let the table shake, it probably wouldn't spill, but that's the only way 13 is possible.

If you're really going to bake in these, then 9-10 ounces is your upper limit. A good size for a single serving of baked lasagna, baked cheese grits, or tamale pie. A generous junior meatloaf or baked mac and cheese. Even a fitting pot to hold a real stuffed bell pepper (take it to the maket with you to make sure you get peppers that fit inside.)

The quality is excellent -- as always from Le Creuset.

The "awwwww" factor is very high and much appreciated on a festive auturm table.

Overall, a great product and an excellent gift.

These four stoneware peppers match the Le Creuset pepper cast iron enameled pot. The four are useful for entertaining (hold dip, hot cheese, cooked items.) They also make a very nice gift for your favorite vegan or vegetarian. They hold 13 ounces, so are not large enough for a tureen for two, but can be used to serve side dishes on the table.
