Product Description
Introducing the next generation of food processors from Cuisinart, a name synonymous with superior quality kitchen appliances. The new motor has an alternate speed for dough mixing, it has the largest work bowl available to consumers, and its sleek rounded curves and one-piece extra large feed tube are easy to clean and handle. A newly designed dough blade, added safety features and a 10 year warranty update the classic food processor.

Amazon.com Review
Cuisinart's PowerPrep Plus gives new meaning to the term "cutting edge." This premier kitchen workhorse is streamlined, so the base (which measures 9 inches wide by 11 inches deep) looks less boxy and the processor more sleek and unobtrusive than ever on the counter. In addition, the rounded shape makes cleaning easier--no more sticky crevices and corners. But it's more than just looks that put the PowerPrep Plus in a league of its own. The 14-cup work bowl has a huge capacity, holding up to 3 pounds of bread or cookie dough or more than 2 pounds of meat, which means less parsing out of batches and more consistent mixing overall.

Also, the wide-mouth feed tube gobbles up whole fruits and vegetables, which means less prep work. The powerful direct-drive induction motor base has touchpad controls with indicator lights and a special alternate speed for bread kneading. This model comes with all the basic accessories, including slicing and shredding discs, a chopping/mixing S-shaped blade, and the fabulous PowerPrep metal dough blade (all are stainless steel), plus a plastic spatula, recipe and instruction books, and a 45-minute how-to video--complete with pizza dough secrets from the Culinary Institute's chef-instructor Bill Briwa. The 2-1/2-foot cord can be wrapped underneath, and all detachable parts are dishwasher-safe. --Erin Brown

Editor's Choice: With its powerful motor and large capacity, Cuisinart's 14-cup food processor is our choice for the best food processor over $300. This food processor, suitable for catering and restaurant use and for the home chef of a large family, features a direct-drive induction motor, 14-cup plastic bowl, and comes with slicing and shredding discs, a chopping/mixing S-shaped blade, and a metal dough blade (all blades are stainless steel). This is a fairly heavy and sturdy machine--the base measures 9 inches wide by 11 inches deep--but its streamlined design is classy enough that it looks nice on the counter. Its wide-mouth feed tube allows for quick loading, and the touchpad controls are not only easy to use, but also easy to clean. The controls also include a special alternate speed for bread kneading.

5 out of 5 stars Cuisinart   July 25, 2008
I have had a Cuisinart Food Processor for years and have enjoyed it vey much. So much that this is the third one I have purchased for another grandchild's wedding gift.

5 out of 5 stars Love my PowerPrep!   February 22, 2007
I was skeptical about the new 'look' of this processor (I love the classic lines of the boxier old model) but the easy to clean lines and touch-pad are wonderful. Plenty of power, heavy duty blades, large capacity etc - really a work-horse!

5 out of 5 stars For The Serious Cook   January 4, 2007

I am a working mom who loves to cook but my time is limited. This 14 cup processor is great for me because I can do large or double batches of most anything and save time (I have the professional 6 quart KitchenAid mixer if that tells you anything). The first day I got it I had just been given a large bag of sweet potatoes and I made filling for 2 sweet potato pies in one batch. I had purchased and returned a KitchenAid processor because I had a problem with liquids leaking out the bottom (the center post was too short) but this processor worked great. It has handled everything I've thrown at it, from pesto to shrimp dip to scones and cookie dough. I haven't tried bread yet (one of the reasons I got it) but will try that next. Most cooks could probably go with the 11 cup model but I'm really glad I didn't!

5 out of 5 stars Everything We Expected   November 10, 2006
We have a big family and needed a large capacity food processor. This one has been a great purchase for us. It shreds and slices almost any food you have. It's also a great timesaver, especially when it comes to shredding foods. We really like the fact that it's dishwasher safe. It is a heavy item, but that's because of the strong motor this unit has. If you're looking for a large food processor, this is the one to get!

2 out of 5 stars buyer beware   October 28, 2006

Cuisinart is supposed to be the top of the line. I got a 2014 14 cup processor and liked it until the tiny "plastic" part broke on the work bowl that engages the motor when clicked shut.
To replace, you have to buy a whole new bowl for over $30. One would think a quality conscious company would not use so cheap a part. Look closely at it, because I'm sure it will break again in the future.
