REVIEW: The Mikasa Parchment gravy boat and stand are made of fine china and decorated in one of Mikasa's most popular formal patterns. The gravy bowl holds plenty of gravy or a zesty sauce; it also has two spouts for pouring from either side. It rests easily on its stand for a pleasing profile, easy passing, and to protect your tablecloth from spills. Hand washing is recommended, and neither the boat nor the stand are appropriate for the microwave. Combine with other Parchment items to set a handsome, formal table.

The Mikasa Parchment collection is an elegant, formal china pattern. The pattern features a white fine china base decorated with wide borders of ornate ivy filigree in pale gray and satin platinum. Mirror-finish platinum banding accents the rims and provides definition to the borders. Parchment is light, crisp, and understated in a way that will appeal to those looking for a classic look as well as those looking for something with a contemporary appeal. This pattern is popular with brides and grooms yet appropriate for setting an updated table for anyone. --Jeff Dalto

Mikasa Gravy Boat and Underplate January 5, 2008

The underplate was broken as we were putting away the dishes after Thanksgiving dinner. The set was a wedding gift and we were glad to have a source to replace the item quickly.
