We had one of these for about 5 years, 4 people two of which are teenagers giving it a work out. The pedal opening is easy to use, the lid is wide, the opening action never bound up, no lid-springs breaking as with cheaper plastic models we tried. Looks good and the bag holding device is simple and clever. Recently one of the arms of the pedal assembly broke so I e-mailed Oxo from their website and asked where I could purchase a replacement part, my thought being it had held up pretty well considering the usage it had received.
Oxo sent a brand new trash can free of charge no questions asked. That is customer service.

Wonderfully cute and functional rubbish can. The fact that it angles smaller at the bottom, makes it so easy to pull out the bag. Very quite lid and easy operation. Since I'm single and recycle everything - the 8 gallon is just right.
