5 out of 5 stars Looks great in a red kitchen!   September 6, 2008
Love these and I get lots of compliments on them. Look great in my red kitchen, they were only $19.99 when I purchased them so not sure they are worth the increase.

5 out of 5 stars Great just for the colander   May 6, 2008

I bought this set just for the colander, which is similar to one I liked at another store that that cost over $20 by itself. I've used it repeatedly, it has held up and worked well, and it looks great. So my rating is mostly about that, because I considered the other stuff a bonus.

The pasta canister is fine and is on my counter right now. The salt and pepper shakers are decent but light; I keep them on the stove for cooking but wouldn't use them on my table. People who had trouble opening/closing them probably didn't notice the tabs on the lids that have to be lined up. I fresh grate my parm, but the cheese shaker is of similar construction to the other shakers and works fine for my custom "Italian seasoning" mix. The pasta server is stainless steel and decent weight, but my stuff is mostly nonstick so it's been holding down the drawer so far. The cheese grater is hard to use, impossible to clean, and all around absolute garbage, so that's where I put it.

Still, I give this product 5 stars instead of 3 or 4 because it contains a couple of 5 star products plus a couple more usable products, and it costs about the same as any of those would separately.

product looks great, stylish, contemporary, and quite the show piece for the kitchen, but don't cook with them. cheaply made and smaller than i expected.

3 out of 5 stars just ok   February 27, 2008

Cute set especially if you have red in your kitchen to match, but it looks better than it feels. The materials aren't exactly high quality...almost dollar store-like, but they still serve their purposes and work well enough. Contrary to what some reviewers wrote, I would NOT give this as a gift and I would suggest buying it only if it is on sale.

2 out of 5 stars Two P's and dented holder   February 26, 2008
1 out of 1 found this review helpful

My daughter had been waiting for this to arrive, when we opened the package the spaghetti container was dented on one side, we also discovered that instead of 1Salt and 1Pepper, they sent us 2Peppers it wouldn't have mattered but there was a Large "P" on top of the containers. It was planned to be a gift for my daughters friend but we decided to keep it ourselves since it was damaged. No I did not return it, mama's old saying came to mind "you get what you pay for"
Have a nice day
