Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
This 3' x 5' cotton flag is part of the Heritage Series from Elizabeth Ross Or Annin Flag Co. The hand crafted nature and patented antiqueing process have become new hallmarks. This product is constructed of carefully chosen American Cotton weavings, meticulously dyed, and accented with solid brass grommets. This product is made in U.S.A. With the tea stained dying process some areas might be darker than others. Each item is not the exact same. Also, may be lighter or darker than what is pictured. The first official American flag, known as "the Betsy Ross flag" is the most debated flag in American history. Adopted June 14, 1777 (later to become Flag Day), Continental Congress resolved "that the flag of the United States be thirteen stripes, alternate red and white; that the union be thirteen stars, white in a blue field representing a new constellation." Since Congress didn't specify dimensions, proportions or size of the field or canton, an arrangement for the stars or even the shape of the flag, there were many variations in American flags until 1912.

2 out of 5 stars How to overdo an otherwise nice idea   August 24, 2007

The flag seems well-made. Only time in the sun and wind will confirm durability.

The down-side is that the touted 'antiquing' is so far over-done that the flag looks mildewed and dirty rather than 'aged'. If I had the choice I would replace it with a clean one with 13 stars.

It was not a good choice for me.
