Customer Reviews: Read 169 more reviews... A little too much and a little too little October 12, 2008 This is a fun item but it is a bit costly for what you get. It seems the garden comes with herbs and then you must buy the veggies or flowers for $20. I would have preferred an option on what seeds to start with. But it was fun to watch them grow. Now that my herbs have grown, I have to get rid of them to start my tomatoes and lettuce or get another garden -- but they are too expensive so I will just pull the herbs and move on. It really does what it says! October 12, 2008 I got this for my Girlfriend, who admittedly has a black thumb. In 2 weeks, we have watched the plants not only grow, but thrive. it is simple, easy to care for, and there are real plants that will be a salad in just another week or so. Incredible! More work, but it works October 3, 2008 It took 2 kits to get a full garden. Only 2 seeds grew on the first kit. I wrote to aerogarden and they sent me a replacement, told me to use distilled water (the kit said not to use distilled water, to use tap water). I received the replacement kit quickly and was able to get some more growth from new seeds, but took a few more times. There are 7 spots, 2 grew with first kit, 3 more grew with second kit, and 2 more are still waiting on. I like this product, but should be as easy as they said. I really like the customer service that went with the product though. May be bad seeds October 1, 2008 I bought this unit on special from Amazon. I have followed the instructions to the letter and after 7 weeks, the only thing that can be harvested is the chives. Dill is doing ok, but looks nothing like the pictures. Basils, mint, parsley and thyme have barely past the sprouting point. I will try one more kit and if this doesn't work it is going in the next yard sale. Great Product September 23, 2008 Very nice indoor garden. I've only tried the Gourmet Herb Seed Kit so far, but they have grown very fast and the herbs are great. I can't wait to try the cherry tomato kit. My son and I come home each night to see how fast the plants have grown. The aroma of the herbs are great and they look awesome! Very good product for someone who does not have outdoor space or for anyone who wants to have fresh herbs/vegetables in the winter.
