The defining characteristic of Villeroy & Boch's Octavie design is a uniquely cut detail on the base of the glass bowl. Raised diamond-pointed bumps aligned diagonally in a gradually diminishing pattern create this stylish feature adding elegance and interest. Additionally, the detail catches and reflects light for a sparkling appearance. As evidenced by a comfortable weightiness, this glass comprises 24 percent full lead crystal and stands 8-1/8 inches in height. The full bowl carries a 12-ounce capacity. Slender and faceted, the stem measures 3-1/2 inches and flares slightly as it travels to its base. The glass opening enables comfortable sipping with a thin rim. Appropriate for casual or more formal affairs, and ideal as a housewarming or shower gift, this interesting and elegant glassware coordinates with any dinnerware. Champagne flutes, clarets, tumblers, and double old fashioned glasses also available in the Octavie pattern. Imported from Germany, this set includes six glasses.
