2 out of 5 stars Not worth it   August 11, 2008

Despite the Bunn name, which is great for commercial establishments, this machine does not make good coffee (if you like regular Dunkin Donuts style coffee). It does not come out even hot enough. Too expensive, but I was prepared to live with that provided the coffee tasted good and it was hot.

This is the second machine I have owned the first one got an electrical short within the first month of use. I called Bunn and they sent me a new one overnite. This is the best coffee machine I have ever owned it is really nice to have a cup of coffee when you want it without having to make a whole pot of coffee.Bunn MCP1 My Cafe Single-Serve Coffee/Tea Pod Brewer

I have tried many pod brewers and was never satisfied with any of them till I bought this one. This is the best pod brewer I have had. Besides making excellent coffee for me and tea for my wife I use it to make instant oatmeal every day by using the hot water in it which is more then hot enough for the oatmeal. And unless Bunn can top this pod brewer of thiers with another it will be around here for a long time.

4 out of 5 stars New to single serve coffee, but...   June 5, 2008

This machine has, dare I say it, changed my daily life. The quality of coffee this machine is capable of is astounding and the speed at which it delivers it is truly remarkable. No more searching around for filters and spilling ground coffee everywhere while still asleep trying to get that first precious cup of java in to my system. I have only had the machine for a month, but it has not disappointed yet. The short use is the 4 star rating, a 5 star would be if I get the same performance a year from now, but I am definetely pleased thus far. Purchase with confidence if what you want is a no mess, low waste solution to that first cup of coffee.

2 out of 5 stars Piece of Junk/Poor customer service   March 12, 2008

I previously had one of these that died after only two years. Seemed kind of like a short life but I have to admit it did make good coffee.
Sooo...ordered another which arrived today. I followed the "Very important set up instructions!" to the LETTER. When I hit the button to supposedly fill the water heating reservoir, lots of pump noise but no water was taken from the water tank.
The "low water" indicator keeps blinking even though it is full of water!
I had read somewhere there was a "turkey baster" maneuver that could fix this problem, but when I called their 800 number I find they close at 5:30 Central (3:30 Pacific!)
Their "troubleshooting" guide is worthless. It reminds me to be sure the thing is plugged in (DUH!). It tells me that since the "water low" indicator is blinking I need to fill the (already full!!!) water tank!
As I understand this is not an infrequent problem, but their customer support is the worst!
This may be going back tomorrow....
