Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
A unique cooking vessel for the foodie who likes cooking new and interesting foods. In this one pot, you can not only cook the mussels but serve them, too. A stainless steel strainer keeps mussels to one side as the flavorful juices flow to the other side for dipping a crusty piece of bread. The mussel pot's shape lets you tip it to one side so juices flow more freely. Invert the lid and use it to hold discarded shells. The mussel pot is made of enameled cast iron and requires no seasoning. Handwash with mild cleanser.

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars A wonderful cooking pot   January 30, 2008
We eat mussels all the time. We were looking for a way to cook and serve in the same pot. I saw Jacque Pepin use this and loved the design. We cooked our first batch of mussels in it and it works wonderfully. The cast iron is heavy enough to handle the heat and the size holds a complete bag of mussels. We put a pot holder on the table and set the pot on top. We used the lid to hold the shells until it filled up. Since you cook and serve in the same vessel, there isn't a chance to stir up the grit from the mussels that comes out during cooking. The broth was clear and clean. I see us using this pot for more than just seafood.
