thin and transparent but not fragile November 18, 2006
The dimensions of each cup are similar to a jumbo muffin size so it is not as deep as I thought. Because it is slightly translucent, the blue is not as obnoxious as I expected. I have tried it out with a steamed bread recipe that worked fine. No problem popping out. As for floppiness, I used a rack that only held up the middle part but the sides didn not flop badly at all.
This is a fluted jumbo muffin cup. It is cheaper than the Siliconezone version so I recommend this even though it is only available in blue.

Is this frugal? no but the larger size is good for steamed buns with the fluted sides interesting

Would I have purchased this used at a cheaper price off of craigslist? no
Did I shop around for the best total price including the manufacturer's website? yes and so should you
