This flatware lets you set the table with a unique, contemporary flair. It's rugged and durable enough for everyday use but still looks elegant enough that everyday dining doesn't become humdrum. The 53-piece set includes service for 8, plus eight espresso spoons, a 2-piece salad serving set, one large serving spoon, one serving fork, and one cake server. Each service includes a salad fork, dinner fork, dinner knife, dinner spoon, and soup spoon. The set is made of 18/10 stainless steel. It's dishwasher safe, cutting down on daily clean up time, and never needs polishing--who likes to polish, anyway? It is highly polished flatware with elongated, slender handles that fit well in the hand and are nicely balanced for comfortable dining. Before I bought this set, I have shopped in many department stores, and nothing can compare to the elegant design of Taika. Read the reviews, I was a bit worried about the length. However, once I use it, it doesn't bother me at all. But for those who prefer classic flatware, this might not be for you. My husband's comment was they look very expensive and modern. I am glad that it is made in China, so I can own it for such good price. The quality is real nice and the weight makes good balance in hands.

This product is not made from WMF. It is a cheap copy out of China.
It is marked with "WMF China". WMF is not producing in China. In addition, the knifes looks on their cutting edge different then the original.
I expect major quality problems after using the dish washer.

As expected great German quality silverware. Unusual style but that's what we were looking for. Unbelievable price!

I bought this from a gold box deal for $189 and I was really excited to receive it. The design, though beautiful, is not practical. The handle is really way too long. I tried to use it and my hand actually cramped up. For a quick meal, it is fine to use this, but if you're having dinner, it won't feel comfortable. If it were 2 inches shorter, I would have used it daily, but since I couldn't think of subjecting my guests to using these, I had no choice but to return it.

The smaller spoons and forks were really small, but it's the perfect size for small children. I think the best part of this set is the knife. There is a great dinner knife in the set and I wish I could find it inexpensive somewhere else. I think I might get the WMF No.1 design instead.

I just returned this set to Amazon. It's a really lovely pattern - smooth, fluid, contemporary without being harsh or overly angular. It also has a nice weight - substantial without being too heavy. And, unlike a lot of the flatware coming from China, it's well made - symmetrical finishing, smooth edges. However, there are two unfortunate aspects of its design that aren't easy to discern from the photos. Firstly, the handles of the dinner fork, knife and tablespoon are excessively long; I found them awkward and uncomfortable to hold. Secondly, the salad fork and teaspoon are absurdly small - really a cocktail fork and coffee spoon. I simply can't see it as a practical set.

I was very disappointed; I've looked at dozens of patterns; it was the only reasonably priced set I really liked (at the time, Amazon had it priced much lower than comparable patterns). Unfortunately, I couldn't get over these two issues. Whoever designed it really wasn't thinking in terms of everyday use.
