Product Description
The new stainless steel lid holder clips over the lip of the lower sphere of the grill. Simply slide the lid into the cradle--no more holding the lid while trying to flip your burgers!! .

3 out of 5 stars WEBER GRILLE TOYS ... GOTTA LOVE 'EM   January 23, 2008
This one is not perfect ... but still a very handy grille accessory.

If you're like me (and THAT would really suck), you never really know where to park your grille lid, while you work the grille. You either hold the lid away from the grille with one hand, working the food with the other, or you just place the lid on the ground. Well, no more.

This handy item clips to the side of the grille, perfectly balanced to hold the lid in place. That frees both hands to work the food.

The only negative comes into play if you ALSO have a grille cover. The item hangs far enough away from the edge of the grille that you can't place the cover over the top, while the item is attached. So, you have to remove the item each time you use the cover. That kind of sucks.

But if you can overlook that small problem, then get it.

4 out of 5 stars Charcoal Grilling made better   October 25, 2007
This product provides the ability to quickly and efficiently remove the cover of the charcoal grill and not have to find the hook on the lid or a place on the ground to place the lid of the charcoal grill.

3 out of 5 stars Convenient, but not necessary   October 6, 2007

I purchased the slide-aside because I thought the hook on the lid would be difficult to use. The slide-aside is easier, but allows a little more air in the grill. I also have the tool holder. When using both, the lid does not fit as nicely and more smoke comes out the side. Though this does not seem to cause more flareups, I am not sure the lid holder is all that necessary.

3 out of 5 stars Make's your grill leak air   August 21, 2007

There is a real problem with all these items that hang off your webber grill - they cause it to leak air! The main advantage of a Weber grill is the fact you can put the lid on after you are done cooking which snuffs the fire so you save all your charcoal for the next time.

These hanging items keep the lid up just enough to keep the fire burning. Result? All you charcoal keeps right on burning so next time you cook, you are greeted by just ashes.

4 out of 5 stars Not perfect but pretty good.   August 13, 2007

This is a more elegant and efficient solution than the hook on the inside of the lid. However it's still not perfect. The vent on the lid can get caught on the holder and the holder itself can fall off. But currently this is the best solution for storing your lid while cooking.
