It's easy to get a grip on these all-purpose glasses from iittala. The bottom half of a Grip glass is narrower than the top half, accommodating any size hand and allowing a set to stack compactly. The stylish, modern shape pleases a contemporary wine drinker, and works well for other beverages, including sparkling water, juice, or beer. Iittala makes the tumblers in 8-, 10- and 12-ounce sizes, and in a color choice of clear, moss green, sand, ultramarine, and waterblue. The earthy tones mix and match perfectly with iittala's Teema dinnerware.

Grip (called Ote in Finland) was designed specifically for iittala in 2007 by young Helsinki-based designer Aleksi Perälä. With this line, Perälä builds on a long tradition of modern, functional, and aesthetically gratifying glassware by such other Finnish designers as Aino Aalto and Kaj Franck.
