Editorial Reviews:

Amazon.com Review
The neon-orange handles on Gusto-Grip cutlery practically glow with the kinetic energy of television chef and talk show personality, Rachael Ray. Produced by the Australian firm Füritechnics, the high-end knives meet Ray's personal specifications: light in weight, very sharp, super-grippy handles. And, no surprise, orange is her favorite color. A snappy gift for an aspiring chef, this set consists of a slender birch-wood block and these seven Gusto Grip knives: 3-1/2-inch paring, 5-inch boning, 6-inch serrated utility, 7-inch East/West, 8-inch bread, 8-inch carving, and a carving fork.

Strong without being heavy, each Füri Rachael Ray Gusto Grip knife is constructed from a single piece of superior German CrMoV stainless-steel alloy, with a forged bolster and strong tang. Molded around the tang is an inner core of durable polypropylene and an outer layer of synthetic rubber for all-day, non-slip comfort. One new feature is the anti-microbial agent permanently infused into the polypropylene. The handles feature the patented Füri reverse-wedge shape that prevents the hand from sliding toward the sharp blade even when wet. At the tail, a stainless-steel counterweight provides perfect balance. Füritechnics recommends washing the knives by hand and sharpening them periodically with the company's own Diamond Fingers system. The set measures approximately 13 by 2-3/4 by 12-1/4 inches, and is covered by a limited lifetime warranty. --Ann Bieri

5 out of 5 stars These Knives Rock   September 25, 2008
My Husband purchased these knives for my anniversary, and I have been so impressed by the quality and cutting power these provide. I've convinced a few friends to use them when they are over and they are converted Rachel Ray knife users. The East west knife rocks my world. I would definaly buy this set again. Totally a great purchase!!

5 out of 5 stars The Best Kinves I Own!   September 1, 2008

I am a knife nut. I have many nice knives in my kitchen such as Henckels, Sabatier, Kershaw, Boker Ceramic, and Rachel Ray. I know that most people reach for the knife that they feel is the most comfortable in thier hand. Since I bought these Rachael Ray knives, I have not reached for anything else. They feel great in your hand, and dont slip around in your hand even when wet. They come sharp out of the box. I have had these knives for nearly three months. I love to sharpen knives too. I have not had to sharpen these knives yet. They cut up onions and cut through sausage wrappers very easily, as well as anything else. I cant say enough good things about them.

5 out of 5 stars Great knife set   June 27, 2008

We have needed to get a good knife set for quite some time and I decided a butcher block knife set was the way to go. But I was turned off by the high prices and afraid they wouldn't meet our expectations so I never would buy one. After reading many reviews on this set, I took a chance and purchased it. I am not a big Rachael Ray fan, so to speak, I don't care to watch talk shows. So I didn't purchase this set just because of her name, but I am now a fan of her products. The knife set is fabulous and worth every penny! I love how easy it is to clean both the block and the knives, they are extra sharp and so comfortable to use. Even my husband likes them, and he is a stickler for knives always being sharp and how they should handle and cut. Now he just has to teach me how to use them correctly without cutting my fingers - which I have done twice....

4 out of 5 stars Good Knifes   April 5, 2008

Good Knifes, need to be sharpened right away, once that is done they work great. Now the block is not that great, tips back and forth just not to sturdy.
