Amazon.com Review
For avid outdoorspeople, boaters, or folks who just like to know what to expect, this wireless weather station provides all the stats for planning a day outside. The large 6-1/2-by-1-1/4-by 17-3/4-inch station is shaped like a thermometer and hangs on a wall for easy reading from a distance. The column-shaped LCD is divided into eight areas of information. At the very top of the screen the time is displayed in hours and minutes with the date and day of the week directly below it. A built-in antenna system receives signals from the WWVB radio transmitter in Fort Collins, Colorado, which is in turn is regulated by the atomic clock, to provide precise timekeeping. Once you install the battery, you can set the clock to one of 13 time zones, including all U.S. times zones and Greenwich Mean Time, and the device will automatically set to the accurate time. The clock even automatically adjusts for daylight savings time, so you never need to remember to move it backward or forward by an hour. Two independent alarm settings with snooze are included for convenience.

The middle of the weather station displays the current moon phase and uses forecast icons (three in total) to show weather predictions for any 12- to 20-hour time period based on changing air pressure. Additionally, the station reports indoor and outdoor relative humidity and temperature in either Fahrenheit or Celsius for an indoor location and an outdoor area using the included remote sensor. For more accurate outdoor readings, the base unit can receive information from up to three different sensors, which can each be placed up to 80 feet away. The weather station records and displays the minimum and maximum temperature readings within a 24-hour period so you can track the highs and lows. In addition, it has an indoor comfort level indicator, which uses happy or sad face icons to inform you if the temperature is at a comfortable level. The wireless weather station requires two AA batteries for the receiver and another two for the remote and a low-battery indicator on the receiver lets you know when they need replacing. This unit is covered by a one-year warranty. --Cristina Vaamonde

4 out of 5 stars Decent product   July 21, 2008
The price wasn't bad since it was 75%+ off MSRP. The install wasn't bad either.

I had trouble to get every sensor to work but that's probably because i did not spent enought ime setting it up.

It gives me outside temperature and that's all i need

Decent product;)

3 out of 5 stars Too Large   April 28, 2008
We were looking for a reliable weather station and picked this because of the price. Purchased on sale for less than $20 this was worth the money. I would not pay the original price for this. It is plastic and VERY LARGE. It has it's place in the back entry way but would not be decorative in view of your guests.

4 out of 5 stars Wall hogging weather station!   April 4, 2008
This Weather monitor could be one quarter the size. It seems to record fairly accurately and the atomic functions well. The battery in the outdoor sensor runs down fast but still transmits 60 feet and through walls ok.

5 out of 5 stars Terrific weather station - our second   January 6, 2008
We loved our first LaCrosse weather station, which is mounted on our first floor, and now bought a second one for our upstairs bedroom. Love them! Makes grabbing the right clothes a breeze because they're so accurate.
