5 out of 5 stars Teriffic Product   July 14, 2008
This product is as advertised. The information is exactly correct each and every day.
The only issue was that when I did the initial setup the time would not synchronize with the Atomic Clock. It was no big deal, I adjusted it by hand and it works perfectly.

4 out of 5 stars OK so far   July 8, 2008

After going through 6 LaCrosse units that failed in a year or two I thought I would try Oregon Scientific instead. Oregon Scientific appears to be put together better than the LaCrosse weather stations. Brass threaded inserts instead of self tapping screws for example. It's not apparent from the photo Amazon uses, but the battery compartment serves as part of the stand to keep the unit upright. This prevents you from mounting it on a wall. It's a good design as long as you want to place it on a table. I was hoping to hang it on a wall, though. The forcast feature is useless in Los Angeles near the coast. So was the LaCrosse, and I didn't expect it to be useful. I bought two of these. The first came in white as I expected, the second was silver, but I really don't mind if it is silver. The LCD display on the remote transmitting units is handy to have. Accuracy of all the non professional weather stations is lacking. +/- 2 degrees Fahrenheit is typical of all these stations. The two Oregon Scientific units I got seem to be slightly more accurate than the LaCrosse units that I have had in the past. This might be just dumb luck.

5 out of 5 stars Wireless Weather Station   June 26, 2008

This product is exactly what I wanted and does all the things specified. I would recommend this weather station to anyone who wants to track the temperature humidity inside against what it is outside. I live in Florida and there is a huge difference and I like to see why my electric bill is soooo high!!!

3 out of 5 stars Works pretty well   June 25, 2008
Nice interface overall, shows a lot of data and the buttons are good. Looks nice, too.

The forecast feature is completely unreliable, and it doesn't receive the atomic clock signal, so I have to set the time by hand. (It seems to be a common problem receiving the atomic clock signal in New England, though some clocks I've owned had no problems.)

I think the temperature/humidity trending is a bit suspect as well. They seem to show counter-intuitive results fairly regularly (outside temp rising during the evening, etc).

4 out of 5 stars It's OK...   June 18, 2008
So far, this themometer has done the job. The forecasting tool has not been all that accurate, but I didn't expect it to be and that's not why I purchased it.

The description (and invoice) said that this would be White, but actually arrived in Silver (not that big of a deal). I also thought the description said this had a backlight, but it doesn't (maybe I got confused with a different model -- I looked at so many).

I am curious about the battery life (especially in the winter). Time will tell....
