Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
With a host of useful attachments, this slender wand takes the place of bulkier appliances. Its mobility allows you to go to the stove to blend a soup or whip potatoes, as needed. Chop onions in the food processing cup, or beat egg whites for a soufflE.

Amazon.com Review
Equipped with an exceptionally powerful 280-watt motor, this versatile appliance is a combination hand mixer and hand blender. For mixing, beating, and whipping, there are two cunningly designed beaters that produce volume while reducing splashing. For kneading, there's a strong dough hook, and for blending, there's an attachment that can be used in the accompanying 2-cup container (or any container) for small jobs like salad dressings. For chopping, the power unit attaches to another container with its own blades to make quick work of nuts, onions, hard cheeses, herbs, garlic, and meats. (The container's base serves as a snap-on plastic lid for storage.) The mixer/blender has three speeds and a power-pulse button for working through tough jobs. It stands upright on a nonskid base, and its power cord pivots to stay out of the way or can be locked in place. This appliance carries a one-year warranty against defects. --Fred Brack

5 out of 5 stars The best hand mixer I ever used   July 23, 2008
It does everything you need to do. My old one lasted about 7 years and we use it nearly every day, so it's a great buy. I especially like the smaller mixer because very often I don't need to make a lot of something, and I can't use a larger one because the ingridients don't mix properly.

4 out of 5 stars Braun M880 Hand Mixer   July 22, 2008
Very handy and versatile. My wife especially likes the little chopper/shredder attachment. The only complaint I have for the mixer is its durability - or lack thereof. This is my third one in about 7 or 8 years. Each of the last ones exhibited switch problems - only operating on one speed or switching off when the switch was "on". Even with that shortcoming, my wife wanted the Braun as a replacement.

3 out of 5 stars short life poor warranty service   July 19, 2008
I really love the multimix. I use all the features and have owned 8 of them in the last 12 years. It has two major problems, though. The switch problem where it stops working on all but high speed; and the problem of "stripping the wand/beaters where they spin out under load. I bought 4 of them on sale and when one of them broke within the first year, Braun would not honor the warranty because I had purchased it so long ago even though I had used it less than a year. I like the versatility of this product so much I just ordered another one. (call me stupid) I do use the wand every day, though.

5 out of 5 stars so far so good   July 6, 2008
We didn't want to buy different gadgets for every different thing we do in the kitchen and we trusted Braun's name. Thats why we bought this mixer and so far so good. Unlike most multifunctional gadgeds you can really use it for all functions (mixing, chopping, preparing dough...). I can not think of any negative points about this mixer. I am very satisfied with it and even I had considered spending more money for this kind of small kitchen gadged I still would have bought this item because of its compactness.

4 out of 5 stars Terrific   July 3, 2008
I haven't found a good use such small kneading hooks but all the other attachments have been fantastic. Especially given the price, this is my new favorite kitchen tool.
