Lesser quality is standard July 13, 2008
Lid doesn't fit properly but what's a person to do? You buy the coffeemaker and expect the MANUFACTURER replacement to be the same as the one you received with your machine. It isn't. Poor manufacturing will result in me changing to a Bunn. They're consistant.

Better than the original carafe! June 21, 2008
As you might guess, I broke the original carafe that came with my Cuisinart coffee maker, and was happy to find this one on Amazon, which also had the best price compared to other internet sources. The glass on this replacement carafe is noticeably thicker and more durable than the original one. Aside from this improvement, it's exactly the same as the original, fits perfectly in the coffee maker, and still makes great coffee like before.

Quick and easy. My mother broke her coffee pot and needed a replacement. The item described was the exact size and model number. Shipped and received a day sooner than expected. Item was wrapped well, so it was fully intact with no cracks. Thank you!

I willl never buy a cuisinart product again June 9, 2008
You cannot purchase a replacement carqfe for coffee maker any where locally although they sell the coffee maker in home improvement stores and nicer department stores, NOT ONE OF THESE STORES SOLD REPLACEMENT CARAFES resulting in purchasing one online at a much higher price and significant shipping and handling fees. Had I known this when I when shopping for a coffee maker, I would have steered clear Cuisinart. I love the coffee maker, but this is a racket.
