Amazon.com Review
Cupcake lovers will flip over this super-sized cupcake pan from Wilton Dimensions. Designed to create one giant confection with a sculptural top and bottom, the piece turns out a 3D cupcake that measures approximately 7-1/4 by 7-1/2 inches. The concept is simple--bake the top and bottom halves in the same pan, stick them together with icing, and decorate according to the occasion. Ridges around the bottom of the cupcake and a swirl on the top add to the finished treat's appeal and make frosting fun. Crafted from heavy-gauge cast aluminum, the pan also features a nonstick surface to simplify release and cleanup. A winning novelty gift for the frequent baker, the piece holds 10 cups of batter total and measures 15-1/2 by 8-1/4 by 3-3/4 inches. --Emily Bedard

5 out of 5 stars Love this pan   July 16, 2008
I have used this pan twice since I received it and had no problems. I use Pam with flour, spray the pan well and it comes out great. I filled the pans about 2/3 full and suggested in previous reviews and bake it about 50min. I used two cake mixes and used the extra for cup cakes. The cake came out done, not over done or under done. I would recomend this pan.

4 out of 5 stars Giant cupcake pan   July 5, 2008
Wilton Giant Cupcake Cast Pan I haven't tried my pan yet. It doesn't have any instructions on how to use it with a box cake mix. It only has 1 recipe with it so you have to try and figure out how to use it with your own recipies.

4 out of 5 stars Fun!   July 1, 2008
Makes a fun cake! Hard to store and cut the cake (since it is so tall). I just bought a cheap deep tupperware container and turned it upside down to cover it. Other than that it is easy to use and everyone loves the shape!

3 out of 5 stars Couldn't get the darn cake out   June 28, 2008
While this is a super cute idea, I made the mistake of trying this pan for the first time to make my daughters b-day cake. Couldn't get it out. Ruined the whole thing. Also, you definitely need 2 boxes of cake batter or double your usual rccipe to make one cake.

The other bummer is that the bottom of the cupcake cooks much faster than the swirly top so you sort of over bake the bottom waiting for the other side to get done. Bummer. I really love the idea, just hard to execute on...and I didn't even get to the frosting.

4 out of 5 stars Very Cute Cake!!   June 9, 2008
I made this cake for my 2 year old's birthday. It was really cute and everyone loved it. Plenty of cake to go around because I made cupcakes too! Only problem was getting it out of the pan. Not easy to put a knife in around the edges because they are not straight, so when it came out, it wasn't perfect. However...still very cute and I will use it again and again!
