The worst juicer ever! July 25, 2008
This juicer is a nightmare. I was so excited to use this as my last juicer died a few months ago. This juicer has a small vent towards the back of the discharge hood. That little vent sprayed carrot pulp all over my brand new kitchen. I shouldn't have to put a piece of tape on a brand new product. The pulp was also pretty wet, which means it's wasting lots of yummy juice!

When I was packing it up to return it a little spring came flying out from one of the side arms...what a piece of garbage. Just another lesson for me on why not to cheap out. I will be buying a champion juicer instead.

Good instruction book, good motor July 24, 2008
I actually read the instructions and it helped a lot. They offer recipes and tips on how to keep this juicer clean. This is my first juicer and I'm loving it. It's loud, but that just reinforces the fact that this motor is strong. My only complaint is that pineaples are too expensive :)

Not worth all of the 5-star reviews July 15, 2008
This is my first juicer purchase and I've come away a bit disappointed. Don't bother with this machine if you are interested in juicing softer fruits such as blueberries, cherries, and pineapple. All you'll get is a drip-drop of juice and a bunch of mush in the trash bin. It seems to do its job with carrots, celery, beets, and tomatoes. It seems so-so with apples and oranges, but again, the pulp is very moist, i.e. a lot of lost juice. As far as the recommendation to put a plastic bag in the bin, I don't see the point. You've got to wash basically the whole machine after use, so what's one more part? Why waste so many plastic bags to save 16 seconds? Also, if the bag doesn't fit right the bin won't fit and you're going to be cleaning up carrot shards that have blasted against the walls and floor (first juicing attempt). Bottom line, if you are just jumping into juicing and your likely to use it only for hard vegetables (carrots, celery), than I think it's alright to consider purchasing it.

im quite happy with the service ive recieved from seller, however, the product itself is only average and i can tell ill be needing to purchase another juicer within a year... i had never owned a juicer bfore and the research i did didnt inform me the quality i was buying. reviews and ofcourse advertisements said it was quailty but its cheap and in only 5 uses ive noticed a reduction in performance, ie; its become much louder, blades instantly dulled from only carrot juicing, it also shoots the waste out the vent hole, i had to block it off to save washing the wall each time, like i said, with in a year or less ill be buying another and ill probably spend the money this time, dont buy a 'hamilton beach'
