Great appliance but doesn't last long October 6, 2008
I have owned 2 of these and love them. They are awesome and I have had so many friends ask where I found it. It's the best appliance I have ever used for grading cheese. It dosen't take up too much space and it's easy to clean.
The only problem with it is that it dosen't last long. The two I have owned lasted less than 1 year and then they started to smell like melting plastic and then the blade stopped turning. I did use each one at least 2-3 times a week.
I am ordering another one only I am keeping the box and reciept together so that I can take advantage of the warranty this time.

I was disappointed with this product. It doesn't shred cheese very well. A lot of work getting it ready and cleaning it up. I wouldn't buy this product again.

This is great! June 21, 2008
I was looking for something that would slice and shred (not just chop everythinig to pulp). I was not looking for a serious or professional food-processor, as they are more than I would ever need. For the casual cook that is interested in just getting the job done, not making an "event" out of it--this product is great. :) Does what I need, clean-up is easy, and it's a no-fuss product.

Strong Enough To Easily Shred Broccoli Stalks for Slaw June 5, 2008
I bought the Hamilton Beach 70800 Change-A-Bowl Multi-Bowl Slicer/Shredder because I wanted a small food processor. I love the size of the Change-A Bowl and am surprised at how powerful it is for such a small appliance. It easily shredded my broccoli stalks to make broccoli slaw. You have to empty the bowl more often, but I don't mind; it's more important to me to save on cabinet space.

I only gave it 4 stars because it seems to me that it has a slight design flaw. When you take the top off to empty the bowl, the top is slightly heavy because it contains the motor and is not very balanced on the counter if you are careless. Mine rolled onto my hard ceramic floor the very first time I used it. It chipped a small piece, but it is still fine to use. So, with a little care in how you place the top on the counter, this is a great little appliance! I'd buy this same model again.

I purchased this product for my boyfriend and he loves it.. Couldn't have brought a better item, especially when it comes to chopping salad fixings.
