This product lived up to its advertising. It is relatively easy to use, and brews coffee rapidly. It takes awhile to get used to serving without the carafe, but really has no disadvantage that I can see. Most of us want only one or two cups at a time, so serving someone at the table is not awkward. And for iced coffee, it's perfect.

This product does what it promises - it is easy to program and delivers a good cup of coffee. I like the 1-4 cup feature.

I gave it a 4 because it is larger than I expected - takes a lot of counter space, and you can't put it under a cabinet because it steams. Coffee is not very hot when first brewed, but gets hotter if you let it sit for about 20 minutes.

Great Coffeemaker August 18, 2008
After reading some of the reviews I was a little skeptical, I made sure that I read all the bad with the good. One did say they tightened some screws and had no more problems with it. When I first recieved mine I made sure everything was tight, then I used it. I have been using it for about 2 months now and all I can say is that I couldn't be happier with the coffee it makes. The coffee is hot, and the taste is great. I really love the fact that it doesn't have a glass pot, and that it does have a water filter, don't like my water. GREAT, GREAT, GREAT COFFEEMAKER!!!!!!

I was nervous about getting this because it's different. I had a coffee maker with a carafe previously and liked it but sometimes found it didn't stay as hot as I would have liked. So far this machine is working out great. Even my skeptical husband likes it. I agree with the other reviews that the way you pour in the water is a bit tricky --especially if you have the machine on a counter that is under a cabinet. The top has to be completely up. I put the coffee maker on a place mat and pull it out to put the water in. I never noticed a plastic taste. So far it seems to stay pretty hot. It's neat to be able to pour on demand. It's difficult to see how much is left in there, but maybe I just need to get used to reading that indicator.

Nonfunctioning Lights June 30, 2008

While this coffeemaker brews great java without the need for a carafe, I found the instruction booklet vague when it came to identifying the four lighted buttons on this product, exactly what functions they perform, and whether or not they are actually supposed to light up. The only button of these four that seems to light is the On/Off" button, in red. None of the others work, and I can only tell the green "Program" is working when I hear the BrewStation brewing. Also, the booklet doesn't explain what it means by "Flavor+" - do you press it before or after "Program"? It also doesn't explain exactly what the "1-4 Cups" option means. Is this button supposed to light up when only 1-4 cups remain in the tank, or when you want to brew 1-4 cups? I don't know whether or not these last two options are even working, since their buttons don't light up. Other than the buttons not lighting up and the basically useless instruction booklet, I do like this machine.

By the way, this a replacement BrewStation. I returned the first one since I was having the very same problems with the lights that I'm having now, figuring it was defective. Apparently they all work (or don't work) like this!!!
