Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
With a nice long handle and a curved flexible head you'll be able to scrape and scoop batter or other ingredients from bowls and pots. Easy to clean, comfy to use, heat-resistant, and coordinated to match your blue KitchenAid standmixer, now this is one heck of a spatula!

Amazon.com Review
This is one spatula you won't find melted up against the side of the stove. Heat resistant to 500 degrees F, it's crafted from a sturdy silicone that won't scratch or scrape nonstick cooking surfaces. The 3-1/2-by-2-1/2-inch blade has a surface that's curved like a spoon for easy scooping and spreading, and the tip is flexible to let you get at the last drop of batter in the bowl. (Whatever you do, don't tell the kids you'll be using it; they might just go on strike.) The KitchenAid logo even doubles as a rest, so you can place the spatula up against the rim of a bowl without it sliding into the goo. --Mary Park

5 out of 5 stars Another Outstanding Kitchenaid Utensil   June 21, 2005
Definitely worth purchasing; another outstanding kitchen tool from Kitchenaid. Check the discount and off-price stores, too. I've found Kitchenaid utensils for as low as $3.99; if you can't find it there, buy it here as Amazon's prices are far better than other retailers!

5 out of 5 stars Stands up to heat and everyday use   May 9, 2004

I've used this spatula almost daily for five months and love it. I use it to make scambled eggs, scrape batter out of bowls, stir cooking food in hot pans, and to clean the last smidgeon of food out of pans, bowls, and plates to make washing clean up easier. The blade pulls off for thorough cleaning. I expect it will wear out eventually, and I'll buy another one when/if that happens!

2 out of 5 stars Comely spatula fails the longevity test   February 14, 2004

This supple, apparently strong, and, well, delectably comely, spatula, was a dream come true for me--- AT FIRST.
I loved the feel and the action of this substantial spatula; what I objected to was the seemingly spontaneous LARGE CRACK which formed after six months sparing use of this tool. The blade was useless, so I threw it away -- with sadness (and irritation).

2 out of 5 stars Too Heavy to be Used Often...   December 1, 2002
I found the spoon to be too big and too heavy for the average female hand.
It would only be useful if cooking in a huge caldron.
Once again, I was taken in because I wanted the color.
