This fine china and platinum cake knife from Lenox is designed to suit a wedding day perfectly, then last through years of celebrations. The piece is made with a ready-to-engrave stainless-steel blade and a stainless-steel finial at the base. The fine porcelain handle features two side bands of gleaming platinum and a handsome sculptural vine motif on front and back. Measuring 13-1/2 inches long, the knife is both elegant and easy to use. We used this piece to cut our cake (and used the server to serve it) at our wedding. A touch of elegance was added to our cake cutting ceremony. I loved the way it looked in the close up photos of our hands while we cut the cake. I now use it on those special occassions when we put out our fine china. When a friend put this item on her registry, I didn't hesitate to buy it from Amazon for her.
