Beautiful but broken January 2, 2008
Purchased these flutes to use for our wedding. We did receive promptly, but they were broken (the stem was not attached to the flute). We returned to seller and received a new set, which had the same problem. In the end, we had to get our money back and buy flutes elsewhere. Perhaps this problem has been resolved by this point, but this was my experience.

These glasses are absolutely beautiful. I ordered a second set for a wedding gift. They are delicate, feminine yet elegant. A perfect gift for the woman you love. I received broken glasses and amazon replaced them promptly.

Beautiful but delicate May 6, 2006
My favorite wedding toasting flutes - I looked at a lot of different styles before I bought them, and I still love how they look.

However, they are fragile; if you drop one, it will break (I've seen it happen once already).

Amazon second day delivery worked well - they came quickly and in perfect condition.

If you order these be aware that they will take a bit of time to ship. I didn't realize this until after I'd placed the order. Though they shipped earlier than originally stated, I missed the wedding shower I'd ordered them for.

When they arrived, I couldn't even unwrap them as they were both shattered. They weren't packaged well. Amazon immediately sent a replacement shipment that arrived the next afternoon. Unfortunately, one of these was also broken at the stem. The other is delicate and beautiful, and I hope to get a match for the wedding, but I'm not certain yet if that will happen. By Amazon's instruction, I will have to place a new order to accomplish this, and I don't know if I have the time, especially if they arrive in the condition the others did.

It surprises me that this fine glassware is packaged so poorly, basically wrapped in paper in the manufacturer's box and then in Amazon's, with an air pillow on the side to fill the void. With this in consideration, it is a miracle that I even have one intact flute.

I have enjoyed shopping at Amazon for a number of years now and really never had a bad experience...until this. I hope that it will be resolved satisfactorily, which to me means I end up with an intact set of flutes in time for the wedding. In spite of this, my money is being refunded on return of the "scrap glass", so I guess my only disappointment can be if I have to go elsewhere and find other toasting glasses for the wedding.

I will be conscious of this before I order glassware from Amazon again. I hope this helps prevent someone else from a similar experience.

UPDATE.....

I finally ordered these using the one day shipping method and recieved two perfect and intact glasses. WaHoo! Amazon offered me credit for the one that was broken and I accepted this option which provides me with an extra glass "just-in-case", or for a guest(?). The old saying, "All's well that ends well," holds true in this case. Thanks Amazon. It was a bit of a struggle, but with a good outcome at last.

Broken glass October 2, 2005

First, it took quite a while for my glasses to arrive. Like the other reviewer, I had trouble with breakage: one of the two glasses was broken on the stem. But I had no trouble with the quick replacement shipment, which yielded two perfect specimens of this gorgeous glass! My fiance and I will be using these to toast our wedding next year, and they're just beautiful for such an occcasion.
