LOVE THIS COFFEE POT!!!!! December 31, 2007
I have had this model of coffee pot for 9 years. I use this pot every day. I love it and have no complaints. Yes, I have had to replace the little plastic knob that screws into the lid of the pot, but it was only about $2.75 (ordered from the internet). I have had NO other problems with it. I always use the round 3 1/4" paper filter disks I buy at our local supermarket. They are in the coffee filter section of the market. They fit perfectly in the bottom of the basket. I don't get any grounds in my coffee cup or in the perked coffee. People have commented on how good the coffee tastes. The quality of the coffee is suburb!!!!

Brushed Stainless 12 Cup Cordless Percolator July 12, 2007
The flavor of the coffee is what sold me. Yes it's a little pricy, but when I compare to the many dollars I have spent over the years to get a good tasting cup of coffee, it is worth it. Be sure to get the stainless steel product as it cleans up very nicely with a damp cloth or paper towel. I use with a basket filter but have also tried without, and the quality of taste with or without a filter is great. The only improvement that I can think of is that I wish it had an auto timer and off switch.

Good Product at First February 16, 2007

We used this percolator for about a year and were generally happy with it. If you had asked me to rate it in the first month, I'd have given it 4 or 5 stars. After a year of use though, my opinion is different. The clear top is made of plastic, not glass, and this is the main weakness. The plastic part eventually breaks where it screws into the lid and the replacement costs $7. If it were a glass part I don't think this would happen. Over 12 months, we replaced two of these parts, then the heating element burned out. Cuisinart offers a three-year warranty, so we will get a replacement unit at some nominal cost, but I'm deducting a few stars from its rating due to poor design of a key part and poor reliability.

Best Coffee January 9, 2007

I am addicted to coffee and have had all kinds from all sources. This coffee pot brews the very best I've had anywhere and does it quickly. I was reluctant to buy it because of some of the negative reviews about grinds in the coffee and other ridiculous stuff like whether the top is plastic or glass (who cares). The bottom line is to just wet the basket (as called for in the directions)before you put the medium grind coffee in and life is good. I understand the theory that suggests drip coffee makers are better than perc, but if you did a blind test using this pot, you must conclude that perc is better. I plan to order a second one to keep in reserve in case this one ever breaks-- it's that good!

Coffee the way it used to be. We love this thing & enjoy the coffee it makes. We grind the beans very coarse & have no big issues with grounds -a few at the very bottom of the cup, maybe. The look & smell of the coffee perking brings back good memories - and the pot makes a perfect cup every time. We love it!
