Customer Reviews: Read 50 more reviews... Hack your Flavia Machine June 11, 2008 I bought one of these on sale at Macy's about a month ago, and I LOVE it. Yes it is a little annoying that you have to buy the coffee, tea and cocoa packets online... BUT... If you save one of the empty powder packets (such as Creamy topping or cocoa) you can put it back in the machine and run clean hot water through it. After you have done this one time you have an empty sterile packet with a small hole in the bottom that allows you to use the machine for a variety of other uses. We put a traditional tea bag in a mug and press the coffee button. It will shoot a pre set amount of hot water into the mug, with no mess, and make instant hot tea. You can also use this method and replace the tea bag with a tablespoon or two of your own powdered cocoa mix. Spoon it in the mug and the water will shoot down and stir it up. It also froths it a little because, unlike microwave hot water, it is shot into the cup- mixing it up. Cup of Soup? Instant Oatmeal? now a breeze. The only thing running through the foil packet is hot water so there is no fear of germs or contamination. Note Due to the filter process of making coffee, I would highly reccomend you continue to purchase the pre-filled Flavia fusion coffee pods. They are actually really tasty.* Best of luck! Fantastic Machine !!! May 21, 2008 I bought this machine to put in my office. I am a detective for a large police agency and we need our coffee. The machine arrived and was packaged well. It was easy to learn how to operate with the quick tip instructions. I have the Deluxe with the adjustable head which is a life saver. I have used others without the adjustment and splashed coffee all over. I love this machine. I hate the fact that all of the other detectives love it to. At about .50 cents a cup I am going broke. They love the coffee, hate paying for it. Amazon.com needs to sell the coffee and then the price would go down. It gets pricey when you do the two step exotic coffee drinks. Highly recommend this machine and the coffee. It tastes great and is super easy... even a cop can use it. Now we need a doughnut machine that dispenses doughnuts as easily. Many flavors. Flavia Fusion Drink Sattion March 2, 2008 Good product for a one cup coffee maker or dispenser. One only bad thing, is that you can only buy the coffee and tea from Flavia. It's either pay what they price or don't use the maker. It would be nice to have a price range from $10.00 to $50.00 but a case is around $45.00. The Flavia only has one type of design drink cartridge you can use on it. horrible machine and company February 26, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful I bought this machine and registerd my product with the company in June of 07. I purchase my flavor packets through myflavia web because there are no stores which carry these products. That is your first problem getting the products. Which are expensive. Second problem is if it does work it wont work for long. It makes horrible sounds and going through their technical support is like going through microsofts. The company will not stand behind their products even if you are registerd with them. Buyer be ware!
