3 out of 5 stars not so hard anodized   May 23, 2008

was really excited to get in on this deal, but I must say, save your money and get a better set. i have never seen so many scratches on hard anodized pots. this started scratching right away affecting the non-stick surface. i really liked the look and heft of this set, but would not get them again given how poorly they are anodized.

5 out of 5 stars Very nice   January 28, 2008
I have these pans and they are heavy duty and really nice, and they look professional.

4 out of 5 stars very good quality   January 24, 2008
I purchased this set in October of 2007 as a starter set. I was very impressed when I received it. The quality of the finish and lids are wonderful. I use it everyday and have had no problems. I don't have problems with things sticking I just spray the bottom of the pan with some crisco spray and cook. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that is looking for a starter set.

4 out of 5 stars Greatly enjoyed and appreciated   November 15, 2007
First: I rarely if ever give 5 stars to anything. That allows me to feel that I'm always leaving a level for improvement and flexible appreciation.

These pans are the best kitchen item I've purchased in a long time, the performances/value equation is outstanding. They work as well as my various calphalon pans and the set cost less than some of my single calphalon pans alone. I waited to long to order more sets to give as gifts, but they are already added to my wish list to do so as soon as more are available.

So long as you read/learn how to use a hard anodized pan set, and adjust your cooking methods appropriately, these will give you all the performance you could want. I've yet to have one stick beyond reasonable, and generally much less than I anticipated. Clean up with a green pad used lightly has been quick and effective every time, though I do also add a bit of water to 'simmer' and soften any of my more stick prone endeavors.

I've since added many/most the other pinzon offerings and plan to keep doing so for myself and my family/friends. Hope others enjoy them as much as I.

5 out of 5 stars Fantastic!!!   November 12, 2007
This could be the best deal I've ever gotten on amazon.com. I got this set very cheap on a Friday Sale, but I would have been happy if I had gotten it at the normal Amazon price. The quality is just great. I can't tell the difference in use between these pieces and the one Calphalon pan I have. The Calphalon pan is slightly darker in color maybe. I do not cook in my pans in the oven so them being oven-safe to 350 is more than sufficient. I like the glass lids very much. The handles are sturdy and stay cool on the stove.

For those who complain about sticking...THIS IS NOT TEFLON!! Well, there is one small skillet in the set with teflon-type coating but the rest are not. Please read online about how to cook in hard-anodized cookware, it takes a little more attention to detail but I think it's worth the effort. I found cleanup to be easy with a little soaking even when I did screw up and burn stuff. I could not be more pleased with this set.
