Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
This exciting hybrid combines qualities of both traditional metal and non-stick cooking surfaces. Now not only can you brown, sear, and reduce sauces as the recipe intended, but you can also breathe a sigh of relief as you won't have a battle removing food and stains from the pan following use. How did this happen you ask? CALPHALON ONE INFUSED ANODIZED is manufactured with a revolutionary anodization process. Both interior and exterior surfaces are infused with an advanced release polymer which actually penetrates below the surface of the metal, into its very pores, offering superb durability and versatility. The intrinsic properties of aluminum ensure fast and even heating, as you've come to expect from Calphalon. If you're looking to invest in a new set of cookware, do consider this collection. Useful pieces, superb features, and the value of set pricing make it a standout.

5 out of 5 stars These really are the greatest pans!   November 2, 2007

We got these a year and a half ago, and they are amazing. They take all the abuse we give them, and they still cook amazingly evenly. We do hand wash them, but, don't tell my husband, I've thrown them in the dishwasher before. I've never used such an evenly heating pan, especially on a gas stove. I can't recommend these enough.

1 out of 5 stars Overrated, don't waste your money on this frustrating set.   July 28, 2007

We were sold on this set from a local dealer who told us that these were the best and only set of pots and pans that we'd ever need. Like fools, we bought the pitch and the set. Here's the bottom line: We used them according to the manufacturer's instructions and 14 months later, they are performing terribly. Food sticks to the bottom almost every time. You might be thinking that we probably used a brillo pad on them, let them soak overnight or put them in the dishwasher (all of these are no-nos), but we didn't. And honestly, the non-stick surface was a mediocre performer from day one. And who wants a set that you can't load up in the dishwasher anyway? And no soaking? Are you serious? Afraid so. We should have read all the fine print first (as usual).
Essentially, you have to clean them as soon as you use them and when the no-stick surface turns out not to be, you have to use a dish cloth to "scrub" them out. Good luck with that. This is NOT a lifetime set. Maybe, MAYBE, it would be worth the price tag if it lasted 10 years, but it won't. The regular ol' teflon stuff is just as durable as the Calphalon Anodized One set, does better in the no-stick category, is workable in the dishwasher and oh yeah, it isn't $500+. If you are determined to go with Calphalon, I would get the regular steel/ chrome set. This less expensive set is far more durable, less finicky, less annoying and a better value all the way around. If you get these as a gift, then be glad and take 'em back for the cash.

5 out of 5 stars Great Cookware!!!   September 8, 2006

I've been cooking with this cookware for almost 6 months now. We got the 10 pc set as a wedding gift and I absolutely love it. It's wonderful! I just cooked some pork chops last night and they seared beautifully and the deglazing worked wonderfully as well. You really do get the best of both worlds with this cookware...the searing/deglazing but also the quick release feature so the pans are super easy to clean. We did have a problem at first with some discoloration of the inside of the pot after steaming vegtables or boiling meat. It was a white sort of film coating areas of the inside. It wouldn't be there when it was wet but when it dried you could see the white discoloration. I got worried but with a little bar keepers friend it cleaned right up. Awesome! We've have no problem with these pots and have loved how they peform. And as a side bonus they are really nice looking pots and pans. We are planning to get a pot rack soon to display them. If you have the money you should definitely invest in this cookware. You won't regret it.

Quality craftsmanship, superior performance and easy to clean. I am confident this is the last set of pots and pans I will ever have to buy.

5 out of 5 stars I just bought a set and it rocks..........   January 9, 2006

I have been using cheap and crappy sets all my life. Some of my former sets include Tfal and Ikea sets. The difference is huge in this sets and because they do not peel off as some of the nonstick, you do not end up poisoning yourself. They conduct heat well and clean beautifully. Plus they resist scratches. If you have to choose between this and the nonstick set, PLEASE BUY THIS ONE INSTEAD.

While the price may be in the higher end of the range, they are worth all their money...........
