Crémaillère is a French word that translates to "rack & pinion", describing that this wall-mounted cork extraction system works on a rack-and-pinion gear system. The corkscrew is inserted manually into the bottle, then it is placed on the rack, and the lever is pulled down to remove the cork. The cast iron finish features an aged patina giving it a vintage look. It is a reproduction of a vintage wall-mounted cork remover rack. It cannot be used to re-cork a bottle.
