5 out of 5 stars worth the price   July 21, 2008
I wish I had bought the Windmill Delta the first time I needed a stormproof lighter. I bought cheap a knock-off and it was a total waste of money. This time I bought the real thing and its performance far exceeds the one it replaced.

5 out of 5 stars Best lighter I've owned   November 24, 2007

I was looking for a good Jeep lighter -- let me explain. I own a 2000 Jeep Wrangler, and the best times are with the top down and the doors off. As such there is quite a bit of wind; even at slow speeds it makes using a traditional lighter an impossible task. I could use the electric cigarette lighter but that involves disconnecting the 3 or 4 electronic devices I've got daisy-chained out of that jack - not appealing and a pain while driving. This lighter changes that -- I've used it at 75MPH on the highway with no issues at all. I particularly like the water-resistant (proof? haven't tested that) nature, the "take a beating" construction and quality electronic ignition - not a problem after quite a bit of abuse. This lighter also seems to be more frugal with fuel than other lighters I've used -- it takes quite a while to burn through an entire tank. All in all, a great device - I highly recommend it.

I have several other more expensive lighters for my cigars. This is the one I prefer. Perfect flame in all conditions.

5 out of 5 stars WOW!   April 30, 2007

The day I got this modern marvel, I tried every way I could think of to disprove the manufacturer's claims about it's durability and robustness, and I've been trying out various other things now and then ever since. I have to say, it has passed every test I have subjected it to with flying colors.

If you're shopping for a new lighter, forget that famous liquid-fueled lighter brand. Instead, get something that can really take a beating. It bounces, it floats, it lights when wet, it lights six inches in front of an 18 inch room fan on "maximum", it does not accidentally pop open in your pocket, and it certainly wont give you that nasty gasoline taste on your cigarettes, cigars, or even pipes -- yes, the jet of flame it provides works quite well for all three. You can flick it open and light it with one hand just like the other brand, too, with a bit of practice.
