This Ceylon Tea Pitcher is great for all occasions, during hot summers as well as cold winters!Made of clear plastic, the pitchers can serve both cold beverages and warm tea. With a capacity of 3-liters (102-oz) you can make tea for the whole table. Try all kinds of delicious drinks like orange juice with mint leaves, sangriawith fruit slices or ice water with cucumber or lime slices.Making ice tea in a natural way is easy, giving you the freedom of chosing your favorite ingredients. Simplyadd your preferred tea leaves into the removable filter, pour 1-2 cups of boiling water over the leaves andadd your preferred amount of sugar. After the sugar has dissolved, fill the jug with cold water from the tap.Close the lid, and leave the tea jug in the fridge until it reaches the desired temperature. The strainer in the spout ensures that ice cubes, leaves and kernels stay in thejug and not in the glass. All parts are dishwasher safe and can be put in the fridge.

Simply Overpriced.... July 16, 2008

For a heavy tea drinker the Bodum Ceylon system could have been a great idea. The pitcher stains very easily. No matter how much elbow grease is applied, the vented spout region remains stained. Another negative point is the fact that is not shatter proof. One drop and its history. Definitely not recommended for families with little ones running about. Thankfully, we acquired the product at no charge via the Amazon buy 3 items and get the 4th free promotion.

I love to put mint and strawberries, or citrus, into the "chamber" for a refreshing flavor. The only flaw is handle is should be placed lower - water is heavy and can put strain on the wrist.

great gift for ice tea lovers June 27, 2008
I purchased this as a gift for my father. He's always made sun tea in a giant pickle jar, which is not so easy to pour. Amazing he's done that for 30 years. Anyway, he loves this ice tea maker. It fits well in the fridge, makes a lot of ice tea, and has a separate compartment for the tea bags or lemons. He's overall very pleased with it.

Esthetic & mostly practical June 16, 2008
I love the look of this pitcher plus the idea of the infuser which works well. In reality, the pitcher is a bit too tall and somewhat difficult to manage but neither is such a problem that I wouldn't order another. What is bothersome and negates a full recommendation is the lid which is flimsy with rough edges of the ridged knob just above the handle. It also seems a little pricey to me.

Best darn Sun Tea Container June 16, 2008
The Bodum Ceylon 102 ounce iced-tea maker is great for making Sun Tea! I had been looking for a high quality container to use... and the water infuser is a wonderful way to use loose tea as well. A great product!
