Editorial Reviews:

Amazon.com Review
If you have a passion for perfectly prepared pasta, try making your own delectable lasagna noodles, fettuccine, or linguine fini with this pasta roller set that fits all KitchenAid stand mixers. The three attachments include a pasta roller, a fettuccine cutter, and a linguine fini cutter. Just prepare pasta dough and form it into small rectangles which are then fed into one of the attachments. Out come uniform lasagna noodles, fettuccine, linguine, or angel hair pasta. The pasta can be enjoyed fresh or frozen or dried for later. Complete directions, cooking tips, and recipes are included, though cleaning the attachments can be a bit of a challenge, as they can't be washed in water, and any dried-on pasta particles must be removed with the included cleaning brush and toothpicks. --Marcie Bovetz

Product Description
Can your mixer make pasta? If it's a KitchenAid Stand Mixer it can. All you need is the KPRA pasta adapter for it.
The Pasta Roller and Cutter attachment for KitchenAid Stand Mixers quickly and easily makes a variety of fresh, high-quality pasta. Utilizing an adjustable knob that changes the distance between its rollers, the pasta roller attachment rolls dough into sheets of desired thickness for homemade egg noodles, ravioli, lasagna, and other types of pasta. The sheets of pasta may then be cut using either the fettuccini or linguini / spaghetti cutter attachment to create various widths of pasta.

5 out of 5 stars Works great!   August 8, 2008
This product works great! The Peter Pasta video (cooking.com and uTube) was great to show how to use it. It is simple! I read the reviews of the various past options from KitchenAid and this one got the best reviews - and they are right! We made ravioli and fettucini so far with great success. We just used a simple VillaWare 10 square ravioli maker along with this product and were delighted. The only negative thing is that I opened the pasta maker, put it in my sink to wash it before I saw the label to not submerged the parts. So, a word of caution - don't submerge the parts!

5 out of 5 stars Lovin' it!   August 4, 2008

I received the pasta rollers as a birthday gift in June and I'm still lovin' it! I've used it numerous times in the short time I've had it. I absolutely love the lasgna noodles that this creates. I also have the mixer attachment pack (that comes with the pasta plates) and I have to say that this is 100% better than the other one! Even my son and husband enjoy playing with the pasta rollers. The pasta rollers have been a fun, new adventure in my kitchen!

5 out of 5 stars It's so easy, and delicious too!   August 4, 2008

Little by little, I am learning to make our food from scratch. It's challenging, fun and the results are usually terrific.

This is the second Kitchen Aid attachment I've purchased (the first was the ice cream maker which is great also) and we're very happy with it.

I have made pasta from scratch without a pasta maker. Mixed the dough, kneaded the dough, rolled out the dough and cut the dough. That was a big job! The noodles tasted good but it was very hard work - I don't know how our grannies did it. :-)

Making it in your Kitchen Aid mixer is a snap. You mix and knead the pasta dough in your KA, wrap in plastic or cover with a damp towel for 15-20 minutes then roll and cut. If you go to the KA website they have a forum and I found a bunch of great recipe on there and there's a video on YouTube that shows you just how to do it.(search 'pasta Kitchen Aid' and you should find it) Other then the resting time it took less then 10 minutes and the pasta was SO good. Next we're going to try part whole wheat pasta and then fresh basil pasta.

I did make a test batch first (one cup flour with water to make a dough) in case there was any flaking/oil as some other reviewers have mentioned. There was one drop of oil but no flaking so it's a good idea just in case. It'll also give you a good idea of how to work everything. It was easy to clean with the included brush.

Wonderful and highly recommended!
