Wine Rack fine for beginner! January 9, 2007

We hope sometime to have "classier" storage for wine -- some modest temperature controls, etc. But, until we get classier wine, this assemble-it-yourself, modular rack is just fine. Easy to assemble and very sturdy. Looks fine (and the wine tastes great!)

I purchased this item at LNT yesterday. Not only is it difficult to put together (as a previous reviewer had mentioned), but the wood pieces are splintered and not finished. One can easily be injured just handling the thing if they are prone to splinters. I went back to return it.

I was browsing the site to buy a different wine rack, because this one is just unacceptable. When I saw this model was available here, I wanted to warn you against buying this.

okay, the wine rack is great, once you get it together...and it doesn't take a genius, but it is not child's play either. i recommend looking over the parts carefully before attempting to put it together. the only instructions are on the box, which kind of stinks...not a very good explanation of the best way to go about putting the rack together. do not buy if you are not handy!
