It sucks .... but not enough. August 25, 2008

The vacuum is weak. It removes some air but not all of it, although it roars like it is working hard (just like my lawyer). The seal is weak. It wont hold water (like my financial advisor). Although useless, it is a cute little thing (just like my husband) but difficult to deal with (like his mother).

works pretty well...didnt work one time because i probably had too many things in the bag. it seemed a little strange that the instructions dont mention plugging it in first. it might seem obvious, but in case some people think it runs on only batteries or something. overall, its kinda loud, but works well.

Saw the frisper at a Linen's N Things and was intrigued so purchased one here on Amazon, and have been using it happily a few weeks ago. The bags are pretty costly, but I try to be choiceful about what I'm sealing in it. Use it mostly for meats, cheeses, and lunch meats (the kind you get at costco in gigantic packaging). It also works really well on salami and semi-precious-ish veggies like asparagus, or Californian's beloved avocadoes.

The machine itself is pretty nice looking and simple to use. I'm a sucker for nice graphic design as well, and love the easy to follow instructions. I've only had about 4-5 times where it didn't work properly, but they have a very responsive customer service team that walked me through fixing it over the phone.

Overall this is such a treat to have and its so nice to have my bulk items in neatly packaged items (just like when you buy them from the store).

Like some of the other reviewers, I can not get the frisper to work consistantly. And when I do get what seems to be an airtight seal, when I take the item out of the frig a day later...it is no longer vacuum sealed.
This product is a waste of money.

I bought one yesterday at LNT and it is going back tomorrow. I liked the idea of having a reusable bag and figured I could save some money. I tried it out and I was not impressed. It is loud and rattles around quite a bit. It doesn't adequately remove the air from the bag before sealing it. I tried several times but just couldn't get all air out. I figure the sealing mechanism is a count-down timer and not based on the amount of air that can still be removed.
