3 out of 5 stars A fluke?   April 23, 2007

When I broke my last Zojirushi air pot, which I had used daily for over 10 years, I immediately went searching for an identical replacement. I found it on Amazon and ordered it. But I'm disappointed because my coffee isn't staying as hot in this one for nearly as long as it did in my original one. I don't know if this is a lemon or if the product isn't of the same quality as it was before ... though it looks identical. I may buy another some day, but I'll be wondering about it when I do.

3 out of 5 stars Zojirushi 2.5 Airpot   August 24, 2006

Not made well enough for the price. Even the inner tube which pumps the coffee is made out of plastic and doesn't come clean. Our previous pot was so much better. The lid is also flimsy.

4 out of 5 stars Performs exactly as described.   August 10, 2006

This item performs exactly as was described in any of the marketing information I read. That, in and of itself, is something to be happy about. Keeps coffee hot up to 36 hours, is easy to disassemble and clean, and the Stainless Steel is well worth the extra $$. The last one I had was aluminum, and it became dulled and dirty looking over time. This one looks new all the time.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Product   October 12, 2005

I was a little hesitant to believe that this air pot could keep liquids hot for a long period of time. I did a test at home before taking the pot to the office. I used water that ws just barely boiling. 17 hours later, the water was still steaming!!! I was/am very impressed. This is a great must have for a small office. I am very glad I decided to make this purchase.

4 out of 5 stars Great, but difficult to clean   January 15, 2005

I bought this item for my office, thinking it would help keep the coffee fresh all day. It seems to do that pretty well, though you can still taste a little staleness if you are a picky coffee drinker like I am. It is also very difficult to clean fully. Detaching it is a pain (I detached from the bottom for a full cleaning). It would be a great idea if they could make the entire pot dishwasher safe, which is much easier for offices. Or perhaps make the outside stainless steel compartment break into two parts to fit into the dishwasher (I've seen smaller similar items that do this and you can screw them together and apart).

Still, it is a great product for a small office where the workers want coffee at different times throughout the day but don't want old stale burnt coffee! The price is a bit high for the product also . . .
