Bodum French press is wonderful February 9, 2008
I really am very happy with this product. Our coffee maker leaked, so we decided to try something new, and I'm glad we did. The coffee tastes great, and is so easy to make. Plus, I don't worry so much about the kids getting hurt, since its not plugged in- unlike a coffee maker with a hot pot of liquid on it. I'd definately recommend this product!

Great danger-free coffee February 9, 2008
After nearly killing myself and permanantly scarring a few fingers by breaking my last two glass french presses, I now feel safe again. This press makes a great cup of coffee and will not explode if a gnat lands on it like its glass bretheren.

Coffee Press February 8, 2008
Having used the glass version for several years and suffering with warm second cups of coffee, I decided to opt for this thermal pot. It does a great job of keeping the coffee hot for the second cup. It will definitly not keep hot for ever, but for the 15 -20 minutes it takes to drink the first cup, it is still real hot! I and my wife are very happy with this product.

AFTER DISCOVERING HOW AWESOME PRESSED COFFEE IS WITH THE SMALL UNBREAKABLE PRESS I BOUGHT,I STARTED LOOKING FOR A BIGGER PRESS AND ONE WITH A THERMAL CAPABILITY. I SAW THE REVIEWS OF THIS ONE AND DECIDED TO GET IT. THE POT ITSELF IS BEAUTIFULLY MADE, ALMOST A WORK OF ART IN STAINLESS STEEL AND I UNDERSTAND AFTER GETTING IT WHY ITS LIST PRICE IS SO EXPENSIVE. THAT SAID I HAVE TO TAKE AWAY THE PERFECT SCORE OF 5 STARS BASED ON THE WIMPY THIN TOPPED LID. AS OTHERS HAVE STATED BEFORE THERE IS ZERO INSULATION ON LID AND I AM SURE THAT WAS DUE TO COST CONCERNS BY THE MANUFACTURER. A LID THAT WAS BUILT LIKE THE POT ITSELF WOULD MAKE THIS A VERY EXPENSIVE COFFEE PRESS FOR SURE. I ALWAYS PUT A KITCHEN TOWEL ON TOP OF LID TO HELP KEEP THE HEAT IN AND THAT HELPS ALOT. I DOES MAKE AWESOME COFFEE AND THATS THE BOTTOM LINE ISNT IT. I GUESS I STILL GIVE IT A 5 STAR RATING SINCE 4 1/2 ISNT AVAILABLE AND 4 SEEMS TOO HARSH A NUMBER FOR SUCH A BEAUTY.

snazzy little coffee press January 27, 2008

I have always enjoyed pressed coffee more than drip.
Having also owned a glass press (and broken many of them) this is a welcome product. I wanted something durable and yet pleasing to the eye. This press has both of those aspects.
The press holds a little over 32oz. of fluid with the grinds and everything in the pot. Serves a decent size cup of coffee for two people at most.
It also keeps the coffee warmer longer than a glass carafe but it is not meant to keep coffee hot long term.
Overall it was a great purchase and I don't have to worry about breaking my new toy.
