Yes the Samsung LN46A650 is that good and that easy October 27, 2008

This was too easy. Price? Silly low compared to box stores and electronics retailer ($1500). Delivery was simple and the guys were great. Picture quality is fantastic, the difference between the 5 series and the 6 series is noticeable. The 5 series was wonderful - the 6 is spectacular. For some, the 120Hz Auto Motion Plus setting of "high" will be too vivid and real looking ... like a soap opera. You can tone this down by using the "low" setting or even turn it off. And for those of you concerned about the red hue on the frame of the TV - don't worry, it's not that noticeable.

Best HDTV October 27, 2008
This was our first HDTV purchase and we could not be happier. The picture is amazing and sports are out of this world. We love everything about the TV except for the remote's click wheel. It lacks responsiveness but you get use to it. Buy this TV, you will love it.

Fantastic picture and tons of options October 27, 2008
I waited for this TV to come down quite a bit before making the leap. It was totally worth it. The screen is very sharp and can be extremely bright right out of the box, so be sure to calibrate it correctly. The 15-year-old Sony VEGA that it replaced weighed nearly 200 pounds. This thing is less than 50. Very easy to move around.

My only beef is that you can't use PiP to view from two separate sources (like a DVD and the cable box for example). Also, it has some of the legacy connections on the side instead of the rear, so you may have some of your cables hanging in sight if you didn't buy them long enough.

Overall an excellent buy.

Loving it! October 26, 2008
I was quite skeptical of making this type of purchase online. It was a great experience plus the quality of the product is fabulous. I did some research plus the amazon help person was very informative.

I love this TV so much that I immediately ordered a second one. All in all a very pleasant experience and I saved money to boot!

I am extremely pleased with the performance of the Samsung HDTV I purchased from Amazon on 9-8-2000, which was a Sunday evening. If I was home on Friday 9-13-2000, I would had the TV on Fri. As it turned I received the set on the following Monday. Amazon kept me informed as to when the TV was shipped and on the expected delivery date.

I have many read reviews from others re: this TV before I made the decision to purchase it. It is accurate that the shinny screen does reflect light when it is turned off like a mirror and also reflects lights from windows or lamps but to much lesser degree and I personally do not find this minor condition to be a problem when watching a program. In fact, I rarely notice a reflection while watching the TV.

In many reviews that I have read, there were many complaints re: The Up/Down/Left/Right circular button on the remote. I admit that it took me a few tries to get the hang of it, but with in a few minutes I had no problem using it. I found this to be a minor negative.

One other complaint I read Re: th Samsung 46A550 was that the sound was very poor. This is not the case on the 46A650. The sound is very satisfactory.

I wasn't pleased with the delivery company (EGL)..The driver was NOT very careful bringing the TV into my house. He was very rough in attemting to lift the unit over my 4" step into my house, banging against it until I assisted him to raise it high enough. He did take the unit out of the box and helped me to set it up on my TV stand.

I have recommended the Samsung LN46A650 1080p 120 Hz LCD HDTV to several of friends. I am very a happy with it..Gene
