Crystal clear picture over the air. July 20, 2008
Being budget minded, I hooked up the antenna to this 40" wide-screen, getting outstanding results. We used to get 10 stations with half of them looking fuzzy on the old 27" tube. Now we now have twice as many digital stations, including sub-stations, with a crystal clear picture. Movies are now a pleasure to watch as the action comes alive in very high contrast beautiful color and magnificent movement with the 5 ms response time.
Not having room for a larger TV, this fits nicely on our corner TV stand.

Very Good TV July 19, 2008
I have been wanting a SAMSUNG HDTV for some time now and finally I got one - the LN40A550.
It has one of the clearest pictures I have ever seen on a TV. I am very happy with my choice.
The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is the fact that I have not been able to get the HDMI cable to work with my cablebox and also it took a while for me to get the sizing of my picture right. If I had it in 16:9 ratio, the screen would cut off the edges of the picture and it took a great deal of fiddling to get that to where I am happy.
As for the HDMI - I am still trying to get that right and will keep working on it. Not sure if it is the cablebox but it should be easier to plug these in and diagnose any problems...

Completely satisfied! July 18, 2008
I shopped around everywhere for the right tv for me and my family. We checked stores in our area and finally found the best price on Amazon. Also, I searched the internet for reviews everywhere and decided on this Samsung LCD HDTV. Perfect choice! I am fully satisfied with the product and the picture is amazing. All of the HD channels are clear and crisp and movies are awesome. The only thing I've found that could be better is the sound...but I have surround sound amps so it wasn't a problem. I was a little worried about getting it shipped to me, but the delivery was very smooth. The men who delivered the tv were very knowledgeable and set the tv up for me without any difficulty. It was also done in a very timely manner. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase and plan to enjoy this tv for a while!

Pleased and pleasantly surprised July 18, 2008
I knew we would like the samsung 40 inch TV, we had done our research and purchased through amazon based on the price. The no tax and "white" glove delivery sealed the deal, ....then I read a number of delivery reviews on amazon's site and got REALLY nervous.

People had horror stories of dealing with the delivery service. I can assure you we had the easiest and best time.

The service called me and wanted to deliver the next day, I couldn't be home from work and asked for a different day, no problem. I picked my time slot, meaning morning or afternoon and they came when I asked on the day I requested.

White glove service is better then I could have hoped for. They brought it into the house, unboxed it, set it up, tried it and took the trash with them. What more could you ask for!

Had we purchased it from a store we would have had to move it. Best of all, delivery was free.

I am very pleased with the purchase.

Samsung 40 inch TV July 17, 2008
This is my second Samsung HD TV. The first one was so outstanding that I bought a second for my beach house. A superb product with an unbeatable screen. Glad I moved to HD with Samsung!
