Great TV October 24, 2008

This is my first entry into the HDTV world, and I am very pleased with this TV. My Xbox 360 looks fantastic on it, I only wish I had more HD channels to take advantage of this display. The SD quality isn't great, but it's tolerable.

Great LCD perfect picture but lacks on sound October 24, 2008

On a overall this is a great 1080p lcd tv. The picture is top notch like all of samsung tv's it has plenty of hdmi inputs and a great remote and instruction manual. My only complaint with this model is the sound from the tv itself is a bit tinny and lacks depth. This can be improved through the on screen menu for those who do not have a home theater surround system.

This tv though does make you feel you need to purchase a home theater system to fully enjoy it though. I have bought 3 different models of lcd's from samsung and I have not been disappointed with any of them. It's just as the saying goes the better the model the better the quality and features in such cases as this one.

Like my higher model of this one but 46 inches and my other one has the touch of red color also you need to download the newest firmware to a usb drive and plug it in the usb port on the lcd and upgrade the firmware. Outside of that the Samsung lcd's are top notch and amazon stands by the products and are very helpful.

Plus online buying is much cheaper than going to the big box stores that charge you more for items like this to offset their overhead.

After seeing review written here i was really worried about the TV being shipped at the right time. I ordered the TV on Sunday(10/19/08) , amazon put their scheduled delivery to be on Monday the 27, Ceva said it to be on Friday but guess what it was delivered on Wednesday evening, 2 days ahead of schedule quoted by ceva & 5 days ahead of what was put by amazon. They came in set it up, it was real good service. Thanks to the reviews i called them the minute it was in the city & scheduled appointment. Overall a good service

Super nice television. Picture is amazing; the complaints about the sound being muted by some reviewers puzzle me---it sounds great to us. Also, bought a few HDMI cables from Amazon to hookup my BlueRay player, and our Dishnet DVR. Its a tossup whether this makes any difference with the Dishnet setup (that's 1080i at best), but the HDMI connect to the Playstation3 (blueray within) pops our eyes and ears.

This unit is 60hz and the 120hz would've been a couple hundred more I believe. The professional reviewers and others didn't notice a picture quality problem with 'slow' refresh rate and we haven't either.

Registering the product with Samsung extends the warranty by 3 months BTW.

I bought this using my Amazon card with free financing for 24 mos. Included in the tax free price was "white glove" delivery (they bring it in, set it up, test sound and picture). The following week I noticed the price on this tv had dropped rather dramatically and brought this to Amazon's attention. The rep told me they don't have a price guarantee, but since it had dropped so quickly Amazon gave me a partial rebate. I'm happy. I guess the 120hz would've been sweet, but 'just because' (just because ..........).

A Wonderful Product October 22, 2008
This Samsung LCD HD TV was relatively easy to set up. It has an amazingly brilliant picture. Side-angle viewing is surprisingly good. The sound quality leaves more to wish for, but is acceptable for its built-in design.
