First Time for Food Processing! June 3, 2008

I have never used a food processor before, so I was a bit apprehensive about purchasing it. I was worried about not knowing how to put it together or too many parts to clean. Well it is a breeze and very easy to clean. There are only a few pieces to put together so it was less complicated than I had imagined. I have only used it for nuts so far but I can see that this little machine will be a new favorite kitchen gadget of mine! Also great price, couldn't get it on ebay new for less than this!

I cannot believe how fast this thing shreds the cheese. My old one took a few minutes and I had to push it through. This is a piece of cake. Love it! Yes, you do have to clean all the tiny parts and pieces, but worth the extra time. Warning- read/save the instructions. I need them to figure out how to click things in place.

The Cuisinart food processor is one of the greatest. The first food processor I had was given as a gift. It sure didn't do the job. Then I bought my first Cuisinart. It has lasted 20+ years. I used it frequently. The plastic piece on the work bowl broke and couldn't be fixed. I looked into just buying the work bowl, but decided to purchase a whole new unit. I'm so glad I did. The blades are so much sharper, but what can you expect after 20+ years. I hope this new one will last as long.
