I have to agree with the other reviewers. This is a fine pan, but it is awfully thin for a Claphalon pan and it just doesn't seem to be of the same quality as my other pieces. The lack of heft means that it scorches more easily than my other, heavier Calphalon pans, and it just doesn't cook as nicely. Its not a bad pan, and works fine for making things like stocks and soups. But if this new thickness is a trend for Calphalon, I will stop buying their cookware.

This is a great pot. I have used Calphalon for the last 8 years and they have the best, easiest to care for products on the market. And my new 7 quart chef's casserole ROCKS.

This is a great pot! I now have two of them. One for home use and the other for the weekend away at the cabin or family reunion. Easy to use and easy to clean. The domed lid is especially nice for the big pot roast or chicken with all those vegetables. This is a great additon to my Calphalon cookware.

This is the pot I have been searching for. Not only can it be used to brown but also to bake and then back to the stove to make the gravy.

i have now purchased three of these. one for myself and then for my mom and mom-in-law. i love these pots. they stand upto a lot of abuse. the commercial line is very easy to clean and a pleasure to cook in. i cook a lot of large quatities and this casserole provides ample space to stir and mix. i plan to buy more because anyone who uses this in my house wants one for themselves.
